Press Release – Council approved intake for Mzuzu University Generic ICT programmes

Mzuzu university released a National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) approved list (dated 23rd August 2021) of prospective students to be enrolled into ICT and Data Science programmes for the 2021/2022 academic year. The next part of the article provides a useful guide for selected students to successfully transition into life as a student at Mzuzu university
1. Opening Dates
The 2021/2022 academic year begins from 25th April 2022.
2. Tuition Fees
Tution fees is structured as follows:
• K400,000 for Malawian students per academic year
• US$1,500 for non-Malawian students from SADC Countries per academic
• US$3,000 for non-Malawian students from Non-SADC Countries per
The Tuition fees quoted above are subject to revision from time to time with or without notice
3. Payment of tuition fees
Candidates are informed that they should pay at least half of the required Tuition. Fees per academic year for them to be registered in the first semester. Tuition Fees can be paid in full or in two instalments at the beginning of each of the two semesters in an academic year

Students will be required to present bank deposit slips and Transaction Reference to the University Cashier on registration to get a receipt.
Only students who will have paid fees and fulfilled the registration requirements will be given authority to attend classes and access other services.

The fees quoted above are subject to revision from time to time with or without notice. 5. Stationery and Other Requirements
Students are requested to provide their own stationery. Besides tuition fees,
students are also required to meet other costs relating to upkeep during teaching practice, clinical practice and work place attachments as part of their academic programme requirements. Other requirements relate to research projects, uniforms and special equipment for use during studies. These costs are determined by individual Faculties and details of such requirements will be communicated during registration.
6. Boarding and Lodging
All candidates have been admitted under off-campus category. Therefore, they are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation, transport, meals and general upkeep.
7. Original Certificates and Passport size photographs
All candidates are required to bring original copies of their academic certificates and two passport size photographs for registration.
8. Admission Letters
The University is sending an admission letter to each of the candidates with details regarding the admission. Candidates may also access a copy of the Admission letter at the University’s Porters Lodge. Once again, we would like to congratulate all the successful candidates on being selected to
